Mindful Monday - Stress Less

Stressing – Blessing – Something Else

“If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.” – Marcus Aurelius

Stress: Strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances.

Pressure: A steady force.

Much of the “experienced” stress syndrome is just that. It is a syndrome that is classified singularly as stress. It has almost no beginning and no end and has been becoming a problem for society today, and worse yet, we are constantly told, “IT MUST BE FIXED.” It is not that it “Must Be” fixed, it is the profound simplicity of the fix that mitigates the urgency all together. Often manifest as a burden, stress can be an antidote for procrastination, a motivator, and just what was needed when stuck.

Expanded and shifting perspectives allow stress to be recognized as a positive, and not a negative force.
