Happy Monday -
A Brief History of Time:
Earth revolves around the Sun at 67,000 miles per hour, making a full revolution in 365 days – one year on Earth. Mars, farther from the sun, makes its full revolution in 687 Earth days – or one Mars year. Mars and Earth share four seasons. The distinction being Mars has longer seasons and longer days due to orbital rotation, thus affecting time.
Time is experienced through the continued sequence of existence and events that occur in an apparently irreversible succession from the past, through the present, into the future.
Einstein’s Special Theory of Relativity states “Time is relative - in other words, the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference.” In the same universe, 25 years of age on Mars is 50 years of age on Earth. It’s about time.
A few considerations regarding time:
It Certainly Cannot Be Owned, But It Most Certainly Can Be Wisely Invested: Through the investment of even a minimal amount of wisely invested time now, you will obtain an even greater amount of valuable time later. This is a good investment. For example, it’s similar to investing zero dollars today in return for ten dollars next week. Remember, the initial investment of time is free. It is well understood, that making your bed and organizing your room before you leave, saves you time (and energy) for when you come back home later. That is not the greatest value. The greatest values in this time equation are the psychological and emotional effects of that accomplishment echoing throughout the day. Analogous to a financial investment, the time becomes much more valuable in the future. Invest time for more time.
Be Careful What You Wish For: “Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.” Whether or not you receive what you wish for, your wishes are investments in time. The currency of your wish is time. Thus, whether or not the wish is obtained, the currency will have been spent, and there are no refunds!
The Waste of Time: Time being the precious commodity that it is when tended to with diligence, consideration, and with the honor it so deserves, does reward accordingly. History has proven this to humanity throughout the ages. As a species, the human race is blessed with the ability of free will, and this discretion possesses an inherent and unique quality on our earth. It is our responsibility to one another as human beings, to nature and its creatures to our past, our future, and our present. We are all endowed with time from birth mandated by universal laws of good and bound by evil. The choices we make in our personal lives affect directly family, friends, business associates, and quality of life. Utilizing this powerful and precious commodity is the greatest responsibility we possess.
The Time Equation: Within the confines of time, growth occurs. Love, family, friendship, and knowledge all compound with time. Business compounds with time. Health (for good or bad) compounds with time. Money compounds with time. Wealth can compound within the spectrum of time. A very simple and yet easily overlooked example is… if instead of spending $5 a day on coffee or lattes, you instead invested that $5 a day in a simple savings account, you would have more than $10,000 saved at the end of 5 years of which more than $1,000 is earned interest. That $1,000 received is the return for the time invested. Time is the primary factor in the equation of life.
