Today I give thanks to the amazing people who teamed together when the families of two of our team members were devestated by the hurricane in Puerto Rico. Both Keishla Quiles and Pilar Rivera have family living in Puerto Rico and when the hurricanes hit, they mobilized their LAER family to help collect food and supplies to send to their loved ones. Pilar and Keishla created a list of essentials that their families needed in light of the fact that they were without power and that many of the grocery and department stores in their towns were out of stock or still closed. It was a fast paced drive where agents were invited to bring donations into the offices. Within ten days, the food and supplies were shipped off to help Pilar and Keishla's families.
Many of the LAER team members who donated to this drive were from our offices all over New England, and most had never even met Keishla or Pilar, yet they stepped up to make a difference.
Sometimes people believe that it's impossible for a 400 agent firm to have a true family dynamic, but there's no doubt that we are a family in every way. In fact, when one member of the pack faces a challenge, the rest of the pride steps up to help.
I'm grateful for the protective warrior hearts of the agents at LAER. You guys are truly changing the world. Thank you.
